GINYU is a modern hot springs resort hidden in the beautiful forests of Hakone, Japan. The name translates to English as a wanderer who seeks inspiration from nature for his/her poems. To reflect the resort’s zen-like qualities, the new identity is designed with minimalism and balance in mind. Applications include a toiletry set and two separate gift sets.

Extensive hypothetical branding project on the 2022 Olympics XXIV Winter Games held in Helsinki Finland. Identity includes logo design, sporting event pictograms, stationery set, promotional poster series, tickets, pass holders, apparel, and other merchandise.
The color palette is inspired by the winter landscape and national flag of Finland. The fluid shapes in both the logo and pictograms are abstractions of streams of northern lights that can be admired in the country.

JENAER GLAS Kösei premium glasswares are used to prepare a delightful dish known as coddled eggs. The name “Kösei” is a fictional play on the words “cosset” and “ei.” Cosset means to care for and protect indulgently in English while ei is the German word for egg. The pronunciation would sound like “cause-eye.”
This project consists of a unique renaming of egg coddlers specific to JENAER GLAS with a logotype and packaging solution. The architectural structure is heavily influenced by bird nests in both imagery and concept - both nest and coddler embodies the idea of protection and sanctuary for eggs. As such, the constructs of the design naturally follow to protect the jar.

A winning design for the 2016-2017 campus parking permit at California State University, Long Beach. Designs were limited to only two colors plus black and any shape fitting within a 6 cm x 7.5 cm rectangle. The structure depicted within the design is the campus’ iconic Carlson Bloc Bell Tower. The beautiful yet minimal form of the tower directly inspired the simplicity of the permit design itself. Use of bright colors to represent the diversity and energy of the campus and individually appeals to the different times of year.
